We are seeking experienced and compassionate individuals to join our team as Home Care Support Workers. As a Home Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to our aged care customers in their own homes.

About the Role:

  • Deliver person-centered care: provide support with daily living activities, such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and assisted dressing.
  • Transportation and companionship: transport customers to appointments, shopping, and social outings, and provide companionship and social interaction.
  • Personal care and hygiene: assist customers with personal hygiene, toileting, showering, dressing, and help with mealtime and medication prompting.
  • Client awareness and relationships: build relationships with customers and their families, conduct client observations, and provide ongoing support and training.
  • Safety and risk management: adhere to health and safety guidelines and policies to ensure the safety of customers and staff.

Requirements:

  • Current Australian Driver's License: and ownership of a reliable insured vehicle.
  • Minimum 6 months experience: in a similar industry and/or a certification in care.
  • Flexibility and availability: to work rosters between Monday to Friday.
  • COVID-19 vaccination: all Australian Unity employees must be fully vaccinated with a minimum of 2 doses.
  • Alignment with values: warm, bold, and honest.
  • Additional language proficiency: proficiency in an additional language such as Mandarin, Vietnamese, Spanish, Arabic, Lebanese, or Greek is valued but not mandatory.

We welcome applicants: with experience and/or a qualification as a Disability Support Worker, Assistant in Nursing (AIN), Community Services worker, or Bachelor of Nursing Students.
