Job Description

Immerse yourself in a dynamic environment as an OSHC Assistant Educator, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the lives of children at Macquarie College.

The Role:

  • Before School Care: 6:30 AM - 8:20 AM.
  • After School Care: 2:25 PM - 6:00 PM.
  • Holiday care for up to 6 hours.
  • Assist in delivering daily quality activities that are safe, fun, stimulating, and carry educational value.
  • Supervise and support children, fostering a nurturing environment that promotes their overall well-being.
  • Prepare and serve healthy food options that cater to diverse tastes and dietary requirements.
  • Create an engaging and happy environment that encourages children to grow, learn, and thrive.
  • Build meaningful relationships with colleagues, children, families, school leaders, and the broader school community.

About You:

  • Engaging and warm personality that inspires trust and confidence in children and adults alike.
  • A strong focus on child safety and a deep appreciation for the importance of mandatory reporting.
  • Excellent communication and people skills that enable effective collaboration and conflict resolution.
  • Hold a Certificate III or higher in Children's Services (or studying towards) or equivalent qualification that can be recognized within the sector.
  • Be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check and HLTAID012 First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Management Training certification.
  • Availability to work 5 days a week (Monday to Friday)

Requirements:

  • Certificate III or higher in Children's Services (or studying towards) or equivalent qualification.
  • Working with Children Check.
  • HLTAID012 First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Management Training certification.
