Operations Project Manager Job Description

The Operations Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of projects by managing project needs, leading project meetings and presentations, monitoring progress, and maintaining project documentation.

  • Act as the point of contact for team members on assigned projects including assembling, coordinating, and managing project needs.
  • Lead project meetings, presentations, and post-policy implementations to facilitate communication among stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress and keep stakeholders informed throughout the project.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
  • Follow up on all tasks to ensure project timelines are met and success is achieved.
  • Set clear expectations with project stakeholders to establish effective working relationships.
  • Establish and maintain positive business relationships with internal and external partners through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop project goals and establish the scope of projects to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Ensure the completion and success of customer support across multiple projects.
  • Facilitate and troubleshoot challenges associated with projects.
  • Provide technical and management advice while assisting stakeholders and personnel associated with each project.
  • Communicate effectively with the training department regarding SOPs, workflows, and announcements.
  • Summarize project information and establish business needs and concepts while communicating clearly with high-level leadership.
  • Support audits and reviews by providing necessary materials and documents.
  • Complete User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as needed to ensure project quality and integrity.
Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • At least 5 years of experience in mortgages.
  • Encompass LOS experience is a must.
  • Related experience is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of the overall mortgage workflow is essential.
  • Knowledge of agency guidelines is required.
  • Compliance and disclosure requirements knowledge is necessary.
  • PMP certification is an added advantage.
  • JIRA experience is also a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is expected.
  • Excellent prioritization, organization, and time management skills are crucial.
  • Strong management and analytical skills are necessary for success.
  • Effective conflict management and negotiation skills are required.
