We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to lead our afternoon shift team at our Murarrie facility. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the production process, ensuring high-quality products are delivered to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of production staff, providing coaching, development, and recognition to ensure they have the capability to meet performance goals.
  • Monitor and manage operational areas performance levels, ensuring they meet Food Safety, Animal Welfare, and Product Quality KPIs.
  • Implement and monitor strategies to reduce staff turnover and ensure a productive, efficient, and cost-competitive labor cost base.
  • Identify and resolve Animal Welfare, Food Safety, and Quality issues, hazards, and risks.
  • Ensure all livestock is treated humanely by self and team.

Requirements

  • Experience in leading and engaging a team, with the ability to create a collaborative and positive working environment.
  • Ability to coach and develop others, monitor and measure performance, and provide direct feedback.
  • Passionate about driving continuous improvement initiatives through implementing strategies.
  • Ability to analyze data, underproduction, and team performance to improve efficiencies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate cross-functionally to build strong and effective relationships and influence key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of RSPCA and FREPA animal welfare standards.
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to solve problems.
