Senior Financial Accountant Role

We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join our finance team, reporting to the Financial Controller. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and completion of all accounting matters related to the Mushroom Group of companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and review of ATO and IRD Activity statement lodgments for all companies in the Mushroom Group, including New Zealand entities.
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations to assist with year-end lodgments for the Group.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with the Group Insurance broker, reviewing and preparing annual insurance policy renewals, and managing claims during the year.
  • Assisting with treasury functions, cash flow, and banking queries for the Group.
  • Preparation of month-end reporting for the Mushroom Group service entity.
  • Assisting Commercial Managers and businesses with compliance queries, including GST, PAYGW, FBT, and WHT on artist payments.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of financial accounting experience, with a focus on month-end and balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated strong accounting, reporting, and analytical skills, including experience working with multiple currencies.
  • CA, CPA, or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working in a complex medium-sized corporate organization.
  • High competency in MS Excel and knowledge of accounting ERP Systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with multiple stakeholder groups.
