About the Role
We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Dedicated Medical Support Professional to join our client, a prominent Spinal Surgeon's practice, on a short-term basis. This exciting opportunity will allow you to utilise your administrative skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administrative Support: Provide personal assistant and secretarial support to the surgeon, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
- Patient Scheduling: Schedule patient consultations efficiently, guaranteeing timely and effective communication.
- Front Desk Administration: Manage the front desk and patient clinics with precision, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
- Medical Record Management: Safeguard medical records, ensuring efficient management and confidentiality.
- Financial Transactions: Process patient invoicing and receipting accurately and promptly.
- Theatre Coordination: Coordinate theatre lists, book theatres, and prepare patients for surgical procedures with care and attention to detail.
- Surgical Quotations: Prepare and provide accurate surgical quotations as required.
- End-of-Day Reconciliation: Perform end-of-day reconciliations with precision, ensuring financial accuracy.
- Interdepartmental Liaison: Collaborate with other doctors, hospitals, and medical representatives effectively, fostering strong working relationships.
- Additional Duties: Perform additional tasks as directed by the Practice Manager, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A proven track record of experience in a similar setting, showcasing your ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Exceptional organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail and a strong follow-through.
- A self-motivated individual who can work autonomously and collaboratively, prioritising tasks with ease.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a commitment to delivering superior customer service.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach, able to multitask in a demanding environment.
- Experience using Genie is highly regarded but not essential.
