Principal Mine Planner

This is a key position in our organization responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling, and project engineering of site projects from inception to completion. As a Project Engineer, you will report production progress on-site, provide quality assurance and control services, risk management, and safety protocols.
Main Responsibilities:- Maintain quality records for the project.
- Develop short-term mine plans, ensuring alignment with quarterly targets.
- Review drill and blast design for execution.
- Review paste backfill design for execution.
- Evaluate mine ventilation effectiveness.
- Provide technical support and quality control in line with contract specifications and statutory regulations.
- Regularly inspect work to ensure quality meets objectives and required environmental controls are in place.
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mining) or related field.
- Minimum 10 years' underground mining experience, enabling First Class Mine Managers certification or equivalent.
- Driver's License – Class C (and MR for driving bus if required).
- First Aid & CPR certifications.
- Maintenance experience on all mobile equipment.
This role demands a drive for continuous improvement, strong attention to detail, and effective verbal and written communication skills.
