A Career Opportunity in Mobile Equipment Maintenance

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mobile Equipment Technician to join our team based out of our Mount Isa facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to our customers by carrying out efficient diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to our range of state-of-the-art mobile equipment used in the mining and construction industries.

About the Role

  • Carry out general mechanical duties, maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis work on all Sandvik Mining equipment.
  • Performing mechanical maintenance duties as per maintenance plans while upholding the integrity of the equipment and ensuring safe operation is not compromised.
  • Providing feedback for efficient maintenance planning improvements.
  • Record keeping of parts usage, equipment monitoring, time records.
  • Adhering to all policies & procedures, especially EHS policies

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Australian recognized Mechanical Trade Certification is required.
  • Demonstrated previous experience with Trucks, Loaders, and Drilling mobile mining equipment would be a distinct advantage.
  • Strong and proven safety culture.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service focus and motivation and determination to achieve targets and goals.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and demonstrate initiative.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Class C Manual Driver's License.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, reference checks, police checks, and regular onsite drug & alcohol testing.

The estimated annual salary for this role is $90,000-$120,000 AUD, depending on experience.
