Citizens Medical Center has been serving the community since 1956 and is recognized for its outstanding cardiology program, primary stroke center, and comprehensive cancer program. Our hospital features a newly renovated emergency department, an imaging and surgery center, and a state-of-the-art rehabilitation and fitness center. Responsibilities:
As a Registered Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse, your key responsibilities will include:
• Providing direct quality patient care based on the plan of care and exercising judgment in delegating tasks
• Participating in professional development to enhance nursing practice and patient-focused care
• Performing timely and comprehensive assessments to inform patient care decisions
• Developing, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in collaboration with other healthcare team members
• Actively participating in unit performance improvement initiatives and promoting a culture of safety and quality
• Administering medication accurately and safely, and observing and reporting patient progress and changes in status to physicians and documenting in the medical record
• Screening for and communicating discharge needs to multidisciplinary team members and recording vital signs, intake, and output

Requirements:
To be successful as a Registered Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse at Citizens Medical Center, you must possess:
• Current licensure or permit to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas
• CPR certification
• TNCC or ENPC certification every 3 years, with ACLS and PALS recertification biannually, and ACLS certification
• A graduate degree from an accredited college or university, and completion of annual stroke in-service education
