Job Title: Kitchen Steward

About the Role:

The Kitchen Steward is a vital member of our kitchen team responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize all dishes, utensils, and equipment according to company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including dish washing machines, hand wash stations, and trash compactors.
  • Receive and store deliveries, rotate stock, and ensure perishables are stored properly.
  • Empty and maintain trashcans and dumpster area, and dispose of glass in the proper containers.
  • Break down cardboard boxes and place them and other recyclables in the recycle bin.

Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
  • Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
