Culinary Team Member Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a culinary team member at Icebergs Dining Room Bar in Sydney, Australia. As a key member of the kitchen team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with food hygiene and health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and set up the kitchen to maximize speed and productivity.
  • Work under the supervision of senior chefs and carry out duties as per instruction.
  • Maintain the cleaning of the kitchen & back of house areas.
  • Complete timesheets and payroll details and collate your team's details then pass them on to the general manager on time.
  • Assist in maximizing employee morale and productivity.
  • Ensure company guidelines and procedures are complied with at all times.
  • Maintain effective communication between the kitchen and restaurant FOH regarding dishes, kitchen equipment & cleanliness.
  • Ensure work is in a clean & organized manner and adhere to all safety procedures of chemicals & equipment.
  • Ensure positive team spirit amongst the kitchen team, front of house and administration staff.
  • Respect all equipment, operating cutlery & china, ensure they are clean, polished, operational, refrain from unnecessary damage and placed in the correct area.
  • Ensure there are sufficient quantities of cleaning materials and safety equipment e.g. gloves, aprons, goggles, and uniforms available for use.
  • Ensure the cleaning products and chemicals are properly stored and distributed when needed.

As a successful candidate, you will possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced work environment. You must have experience in a similar position, preferably in a hatted venue, and be able to maintain a valid visa or working rights.
