About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team of big thinkers who are engineering the future of banking. As a member of our API and Microservices crew, you will contribute to all aspects of our technology products and services, from technical strategy and design to coding to deployment to operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and support API Gateways, including Kong, AWS, and similar technologies.
  • Work on both project and BAU tasks, including the establishment of API portals, developing automation to simplify onboarding to our API gateways, and ensuring adherence to CBA's API standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver industry-leading software, including Comm Bank App, Netbank, Comm See, Comm Sec, Comm Biz, and more.
  • Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure automation using tools like Cloud Formation, Terraform, Groovy, Jenkins, and others.
  • Ensure the security and scalability of our cloud-based systems, including multitenancy and enterprise networking.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of API Gateway design, implementation, and support experience.
  • Proven track record working in a public cloud environment, with AWS experience advantageous.
  • Passion for Cloud/DevOps/Automation and a systematic approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in cloud infrastructure automation, including Cloud Formation, Terraform, Groovy, Jenkins, and others.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of stakeholders confidently.
