Our organization seeks a seasoned professional to join its Business Risk Oversight team as an Operational Risk Manager.

This is a key role that supports the enhancement of operational risk and resilience practices within our company. As part of this team, you will collaborate with various departments to strengthen operational risk ownership, provide independent oversight, and contribute to the development of frameworks and tools that support business continuity and effective third-party risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of operational risk and resilience frameworks.
  • Provide Line 2 oversight of operational risk controls, including business continuity planning, incident response, and third-party risk.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of operational risk and resilience practices across departments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to embed operational risk management and ensure accountability.
  • Contribute to the delivery of training and awareness programs to build capability across the organization.
  • Prepare clear, insightful reports and recommendations aligned with our company's risk appetite and strategic objectives.

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience influencing department leaders to invest in and lead the maturing of operational risk and resilience practices.
  • Demonstrable ability to develop strategic relationships fundamental to providing insight, review, and challenge.
  • Demonstrated experience as a subject matter expert in operational risk and resilience, supporting the learning and development of business stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to drive innovation in operational processes and tools, leveraging industry trends and technologies.
  • Strong understanding of business continuity planning, third-party risk, and operational disruption scenarios.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and written and verbal communication skills.

About the Role:

  • Around 10 years' experience in operational risk and resilience, preferably within financial services or a regulatory environment.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in risk, finance, economics, compliance, or a related discipline.
