This organization is a prominent global manufacturer in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, operating a cutting-edge, highly automated production facility. They are in the process of completing a significant construction initiative and have several general site capital projects planned for the near future, necessitating the addition of a Project Engineer or Site Engineer on a contractual basis. The initial contract duration is until the holiday season, with the possibility of extension based on the capital program.
About the Role
The projects involve external contractors, so the emphasis is on site and contractor oversight, conducting daily inspections, ensuring proper contractor induction, verifying necessary qualifications, and confirming readiness for daily operations. You will also be responsible for checking completed work against designs, plans, and schedules, while keeping your site and engineering leadership team engaged and informed. A key aspect of the role is managing suppliers to ensure that work is completed to the advantage of the asset owner, adhering to high quality and safety standards to achieve optimal project outcomes.
About You
We are looking for an individual capable of effectively managing contractors and suppliers on an FMCG manufacturing site. You may be an engineer in the early to mid-stages of your career, or a maintenance and production leader with relevant experience.
Engineering degree or trade qualification Proven experience in managing contractors and suppliers on-site Familiarity with food and beverage manufacturing environments Availability for the duration of the contract Why Consider This Opportunity?
