About the Role

Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join our Automated Maintenance Team (AME) at RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland. As a key member of our team, you will provide IT systems support for the FA/18F Super Hornet & EA-18G Growler aircraft from the maintenance perspective.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support multiple software systems to build a key BDA software development environment;
  • Collaborate with systems and software engineers throughout the engineering lifecycle to meet design & support requirements;
  • Create and maintain documentation of the environment's configuration and operational processes;
  • Support the AME Team by engaging and bringing out the best in team members with varying levels of experience;
  • Collaborate and communicate across a multi-disciplined work environment to deliver robust outcomes for the Super Hornet and Growler capability.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Prior experience across multiple IT disciplines ideally with 3+ years' experience in similar roles;
  • Experience dealing with classified Defence environments;
  • High level communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels;
  • Ability & Willingness to gain up to Secret (Negative Vetting 1) Security Clearance with the option to go to Top Secret (Negative Vetting 2);
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with business, technical stakeholders, senior management and project team members;
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts to a broad and diverse audience;
  • Experience dealing with classified Defence environments;
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
