Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Gender Equity and Safeguarding Specialist to join our team in Naarm-Melbourne. As a key member of our support office, you will play a crucial role in strengthening our gender equity and safeguarding practices across the Asia and Pacific region.

You will be responsible for providing technical assistance to our country programs, developing strategies to promote gender equality and safeguarding, and building strong partnerships with local organisations.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in providing gender equity and safeguarding technical assistance, preferably in the Asia and Pacific region. You will also have excellent communication and project management skills, as well as a strong understanding of DFAT GEDSI and safeguarding compliance requirements.

Your expertise in capacity strengthening, knowledge translation, and safeguarding policy development will be essential in driving our organisational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead GEDSI capacity strengthening initiatives for country programs;
  2. Provide technical assistance on GEDSI and safeguarding policies and practices;
  3. Develop strategic partnerships with local organisations to promote gender equity and safeguarding;
  4. Support institutional fundraising efforts by contributing to proposal design and review;
  5. Foster collaboration among internal stakeholders to drive organisational change.

In return for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive salary range of $85,000-$105,000 per annum, depending on your experience.
