About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our Water Utilities team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in developing innovative water retaining structures for major water infrastructure projects across Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise for water/wastewater infrastructure design projects
  • Oversee structural design from concept to detailed stages, ensuring high technical standards
  • Develop designs for multiple projects or program work packages, and assist with project and design management
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on large-scale infrastructure projects
About You

You will have a background in structural engineering with a focus on water retaining structures, such as dams, reservoirs, tanks, and wastewater treatment plants. You will be passionate about engaging with clients and creating innovative solutions, and you will have excellent communication skills to write clear and logical reports. You will also enjoy sharing your structural engineering expertise through collaboration with team members.

You will have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural engineering or equivalent, and proven local design experience, ideally in a consultancy environment. You will be a Chartered Engineer or actively working towards chartered status, and you will have experience in detailed design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, with specific experience in pipeline, pump station design, and treatment plants. Experience working on water retaining structures projects is preferred, and experience in Design and Construction projects would be advantageous. You will also have good knowledge of relevant industry-related Australian Standards and WSAA codes, and an understanding of related safety in design practices and processes.
