We are seeking an experienced Payroll Team Leader to join our dynamic team at Virgin Australia Airlines. As a key member of our payroll operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payroll for our employees.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Lead and manage a team of payroll professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure the successful delivery of payroll operations.
- Payroll Systems Management: Utilize your expertise in multiple payroll systems to drive improvements and efficiencies, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legislation.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all payroll operations are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations, identifying and mitigating potential risks to the organization.
- Team Development and Training: Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the payroll team, ensuring they are equipped to handle complex payroll scenarios.
- Communication and Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, management, and external partners, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Experience: At least 10 years of experience in payroll, with a strong background in managing complex payroll systems and leading teams.
- Payroll Systems Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of multiple payroll systems, including implementation and configuration.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Strong understanding of wage and hour laws, labour laws, and relevant regulations, with experience in interpreting complex Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
- Leadership and Management: Proven ability to lead and manage a team, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure successful delivery of payroll operations.
- Communication and Stakeholder Management: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
