Salary: $31.83 per hour, plus casual loading and superannuation
Location: Ballarat Aquatic and Lifestyle Centre
We are seeking an energetic and passionate Health Club Officer to join our team of dedicated staff. As a Health Club Officer, you will be responsible for conducting health and wellbeing screenings and evaluations of members, designing safe and effective exercise programs, and providing instruction and guidance on the gym floor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct health and wellbeing screenings and evaluations of members
- Design safe and effective exercise programs
- Conduct program demonstrations and instruct members in correct exercise technique on the gym floor
- Respond to questions and minor problems that arise day-to-day on the gym floor and in a one-on-one environment
- Maintain the gym area in a clean and tidy fashion throughout each shift
- Adhere to all Health and Safety policy and procedures
Requirements:
- Experience working within a similar role in the fitness industry delivering health assessments and programming
- Certificate III in Fitness (essential)
- Certificate IV in Fitness (preferred)
- Current Level 2 First Aid and CPR
- Current Working with Children Check
- Registration/membership with Aus Active or Physical Fitness Australia
- Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development to maintain industry knowledge and professional skills at the highest level
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Proactive and motivated to succeed
- Ability to implement and monitor adherence to health and safety policies and procedures within a team environment
- National Police Check
- Flexibility to work across a seven (7) day roster
