Job Opportunity: Senior Communications Professional

We are seeking a skilled communications expert to join our team in Brisbane. This is a 4-month contract, with the possibility of extension, offering an exceptional opportunity for career advancement.

This role will play a pivotal part in shaping our organisation's messaging both internally and externally. You will leverage your strong digital and traditional content development abilities to create engaging and clear communications.

  • Develop and implement internal communications plans (including business and project communications).
  • Craft communications for senior executives.
  • Strategically manage social media channels to build trust, clarity, and engagement with diverse audiences.

Your ability to simplify complex concepts into plain language will be essential, ensuring messages resonate with our community.

You will also manage and produce high-quality content for various channels, including newsletters, reports, speeches, and digital platforms.

  • Deliver internal communications, including business and project communication plans.

  • Oversee social media channels.
  • Develop and simplify complex concepts for community audiences using appropriate tone and language.

The ideal candidate will bring demonstrated skills in stakeholder engagement, collaboration, and project management. You will possess essential skills in plain language writing, with the ability to understand and simplify complex concepts for our community audience.

We are looking for someone with strong content development and editing skills, as well as keen attention to detail, editorial accuracy, and the ability to write and edit for grammar, structure, accessibility, and readability.

A background in journalism, communications, public relations, or legal writing is preferred, along with familiarity with content approval workflows and regulatory frameworks.
