About the Role
Michael Page is seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing financial reporting and analysis to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheet reconciliations, to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to management.
- Asset Management: Oversee the maintenance of the company's assets under construction and fixed assets, including performing month-end reconciliations.
- Technical Accounting: Assist with technical accounting areas, including but not limited to leases and fixed assets.
- Royalty Calculations: Prepare month-end royalty calculations and lodge quarterly royalty and production reports to regulators.
- Auditor Liaison: Liaise with auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ad-hoc Tasks: Perform other ad-hoc accounting tasks as required.
Requirements
- Experience: Considerable experience in a similar role, ideally from within a listed environment in the mining sector.
- Skills: Strong technical accounting skills, including experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
