Role Overview:
The Controls and Cybersecurity Engineer will play a pivotal role in advancing our operational technology security initiatives. This position focuses on enhancing the cybersecurity maturity of our generation processes to align with compliance standards and Origin's strategic objectives. Reporting to the Engineering Manager for Controls and Cybersecurity, you will assess, implement, and supervise cybersecurity protocols within operational technology environments, ensuring a balance between cost, risk, and performance in accordance with regulatory and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer expert guidance on cybersecurity projects and initiatives.
- Supervise the design and execution of control systems and communication frameworks for IT/OT integration.
- Conduct threat and vulnerability assessments and manage risk evaluations.
- Ensure the maintenance of current cybersecurity documentation.
- Collaborate with various teams to diagnose and resolve operational technology challenges.
Qualifications:
- Hands-on engineering experience with industrial process systems (SCADA, DCS, PLCs) or relevant experience in OT cybersecurity.
- Proficient in operational support for networking (Routing, Switching, VLAN, etc.) and distributed computing systems.
- Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Strong expertise in networking and Windows operating systems.
- Exceptional communication skills and a dedication to ongoing professional development.
