Position: Cyber Security Engineer
Contract Duration: 12 months with potential extensions
Work Location: Remote/ACT
Key Responsibilities:
# Automate and implement solutions through Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
# Collaborate with diverse teams, including business units, technology experts, external vendors, and other specialists.
# Undertake additional tasks as required by the program.
# Create comprehensive documentation, including Detailed Designs, High-Level Designs, As-Built-As-Configured documents, and standard operating procedures.
Essential Qualifications:
# Proven experience in designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft Security and Compliance solutions in both hybrid and cloud-only environments, adhering to Australian Government Cyber Security standards.
# Demonstrated expertise in configuring and managing security tools, including SIEM and PAM, across an enterprise, ensuring resilient and highly available solutions while supporting and monitoring products such as Microsoft Sentinel, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Microsoft Defender 365, and Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP).
# Experience with vulnerability scanning tools, preferably Qualys, including the analysis and reporting of findings to provide actionable recommendations to management.
# Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to enhance strategic and operational cyber capabilities.
