Psychiatry Medical Officer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Psychiatry Medical Officer to join our Adult Acute Unit. This is an excellent opportunity for a medical professional to develop their skills and expertise in psychiatry, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care: Provide comprehensive and compassionate care to patients with mental health conditions, prioritizing their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the individual needs of patients.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, adhering to relevant clinical guidelines and standards.
  • Multidisciplinary Teamwork: Participate in regular meetings and case conferences to discuss patient progress and plan future interventions.
Requirements:
  • A completed medical degree or equivalent qualifications.
  • Registration as a medical practitioner in Australia.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in psychiatry or a related field.
  • Knowledge of relevant clinical guidelines and protocols.
