Job Title:

The role of a Health Promotion Specialist involves supporting key health promotion priority areas.

This position will engage and collaborate with local stakeholders and community to develop, deliver and evaluate health promotion activities.

The specialist will identify population health trends and emerging health needs using statistical data analysis, research and consultation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate health promotion initiatives across all areas of the catchment.
  • Develop and deliver education programs in a range of health promotion areas.
  • Establish and work with a broad range of individuals and organisations to develop collaborative working relationships.
  • Demonstrate ability to deliver presentations and prepare written reports and correspondence to a high standard.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in health promotion, public health or health related field.
  • Experience in planning, implementing and evaluation of primary prevention strategies.
  • Proven skills in leading projects and delivering education in a range of health promotion areas.
  • An understanding of place-based principles for primary prevention.
