Disability Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Specialist to join our team. As a valued member, you will have the opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of individuals within your community.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting clients with personal care and manual handling, including showering and bowel care.
  • Providing medication assistance and support with daily living tasks.
  • Accompanying clients on outings for social activities, grocery shopping, and appointments.
  • Supporting clients with complex and/or challenging needs, ensuring their well-being and safety at all times.
  • Monitoring client progress, reporting, and documenting as required.
  • Participating in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or Community Services, or similar qualification.
  • Experience supporting clients with challenging behaviors.
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance.
  • Australian driving license and car insurance.
  • Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination.
