We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lifestyle Activities Officer to join our multidisciplinary team at Jimbelunga Nursing Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high-quality lifestyle and activities program that stimulates, motivates, and provides residents with a sense of well-being.

Job Description

The Lifestyle Activities Officer is accountable for effective implementation of an Aged Care Lifestyle and Activities Program by delivering a high-quality service that meets industry standards. This includes commitment to quality management through the use of LogiQC quality management systems.

The officer will provide holistic and individualized care for residents by implementing a lifestyle program in accordance with residents' and their families' wishes, while contributing to the planning of care and evaluation of outcomes in collaboration with the Lifestyle & Activities Coordinator.

Community and family engagement in Aged Care Lifestyle and Activities Program is also essential. The officer must contribute towards a safe environment for all residents, volunteers, and staff within Jimbelunga Nursing Centre.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Genuine interest and commitment to the holistic well-being of the elderly, including the ability to empathize and understand their needs.
  • Experience working in a lifestyle and activities program in an aged care facility.
  • Sound programme co-ordination skills.
  • Lifestyle related needs and abilities.
  • Facilitating both group and individual personal programmes.
  • Facilitating client choice and decision making.
  • Demonstrated effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Current Driver's License.
  • Current Senior First Aid + CPR Certificate.
  • Ability to complete busy workloads and respond to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and flexibly in a team environment.
