VIC Driver Academy Training Program

Cleanaway is Australia's largest waste management organisation, with over 50 years of experience delivering sustainable solutions for our customers, communities, and environment.

We are seeking women, female identifying, or non-binary persons to participate in our Driver Academy, a paid training program that includes licencing and ongoing learning for the next 12 months.

The program will cover:

  • Obtaining a Heavy Vehicle Licence (HR)
  • Induction to Cleanaway
  • Training to become a driver
  • In-cab coaching
  • Solo driving time
  • Ongoing buddy program

As part of our commitment to diversity and inclusion, we offer a great team environment, overtime rates, and a mentor program during the first 12 months.

Key requirements include:

  • Hold a current unrestricted drivers licence for a minimum of 24 months
  • Driving History Check with a minimum of 8 demerit points
  • No heavy vehicle driving experience required
  • Passionate about working as a team
  • Excellent customer service ethic
  • Commitment to safety and willingness to learn and work as part of a team
  • Resilient attitude
