We are seeking a highly skilled Mine Geologist to join our team at Terra Mining Pty. As a key member of our Technical Services team, you will play a critical role in assisting with all aspects of production, mining, and exploration.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in daily production duties, including in-pit mapping, supervision of mining activities, ore block design, production reporting, and mine-to-mill reconciliation.
- Deliver accurate grade control models for grade control and resource development purposes.
- Coordinate design, monitor, and log grade control drilling programs.
- Assist in ore mark-ups, ore spotting, and blast hole logging.
- Develop and maintain production databases.
- Participate in field investigations.
- Collaborate with engineers to assist with developing mine plans and designs.
- Qualified with a degree in Geology or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in an iron ore mining environment is preferred.
- A sound understanding of open pit grade control processes.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with geology modeling programs, preferably Surpac.
- Experience in MS Office, particularly Excel.
