Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

GoPro, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative mechanical solutions for our camera and accessory products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement mechanical design solutions for new and existing products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets product requirements and specifications
  • Conduct feasibility studies and coordinate validation testing on new and modified designs
  • Work closely with internal and external partners to generate documentation and test plans
  • Ensure product features meet cost, schedule, reliability, thermal, and regulatory/safety goals
Requirements:
  • B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; M.S. degree preferred
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in mechanical and/or product design development
  • Thorough knowledge and experience utilizing CAD modeling and FEA tools
  • Strong knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and performing statistical tolerance analysis
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle various projects simultaneously in a productive and timely manner
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience using Siemens NX and Teamcenter CAD applications
  • Experience in the development of consumer electronics products; preferably in handheld, mobile, and wireless devices
  • Experience working with Asian ODM/JDM partners and suppliers
