About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at InfraBuild, Australia's leading integrated steel manufacturing, distribution, and recycling business. Based in Newcastle, this role will challenge you to think outside the square with high-volume work and jobbing work providing plenty of variety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute CNC Machining, including programming and operating a range of machinery, including multi-axis lathes and machining centres.
  • Build your skill and knowledge in machining special steels.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and provide feedback via the maintenance management systems.
  • Learn about safety management and contribute to a culture that values wellbeing and innovation.
Requirements
  • Hold a relevant mechanical trade qualification or be currently completing your apprenticeship.
  • Demonstrate an ability to read and understand G-Code.
  • Demonstrate an ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Have experience with Fanuc, Siemens, or Fagor Controls, which is highly desirable.
  • Utilise or work towards proficiency in CADCAM systems, which is highly desirable.
