Senior Estimator Job Description

Fulton Hogan is seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our dynamic team at Fulton Hogan Utilities. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in leading and mentoring teams, working on large tenders, and engaging in current program works under an ECI procurement model.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop accurate estimates for Utility based projects, primarily focusing on water, and wastewater treatment and distribution.
  • Obtain and review offers and quotes from subcontractors or vendors.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders including subcontractors, suppliers, and design consultants.
  • Conduct research to gather data on labour costs, materials, production times, and more.
  • Liaise with designers and suppliers to obtain information and calculate costs.
  • Follow and reinforce our established estimating processes to ensure internal governance and provide senior management with confidence in the tender price presented.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience, and track record as an Estimator in a tier 1 environment (alternatively experience working on-site in the waste water or utility industry).
  • Experience pricing large and small Water / Waste Water projects – ideally involving Utility Infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with financial and project management principles.
  • Experience in using Expert Estimator is desired, but not a requirement.
  • Experience in estimating O&M rates based opportunities will also be highly regarded.
