About Your Experience:

To succeed in this role, you'll be someone who thrives in a fast-paced, practical environment and who brings both technical depth and a customer-first mindset.

  • A degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or a related field) or equivalent hands-on experience in a similar manufacturing or engineering role
  • Strong experience in heavy fabrication, with a solid understanding of large-scale welded structures, complex assembly processes, and thick plate materials
  • Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and interpreting detailed engineering drawings
  • Proven ability to resolve technical manufacturing problems and implement sustainable improvements
  • A working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles. Formal qualifications are not required but familiarity with concepts such as waste reduction, flow, and standardisation is highly valued
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop and document processes and procedures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a practical, hands-on approach
