At PPR Avenues Pty Ltd, we are seeking a skilled Motor Vehicle Repair Specialist to join our team. As a Motor Vehicle Repair Specialist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services on a wide range of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and identify mechanical and electrical issues in engines and components.
  • Test and adjust mechanical parts after repairs to ensure proper operation.
  • Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups, to enhance vehicle performance and ensure compliance with emission standards.
  • Inspect vehicles to issue roadworthiness certificates or outline necessary repairs for compliance.
  • Disassemble and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering systems, and other parts, then inspect each component.
  • Repair or replace worn or damaged parts, reassemble mechanical components, and consult service manuals as necessary.
  • Reassemble engines and components after repairs.
  • Use computers to assist in diagnosing and testing components.
  • Respond quickly to vehicle breakdown calls for on-site service.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and computerized testing devices.
  • Knowledge of working with fluid-powered brakes, steering, and suspension systems.
  • Understanding of how engines, transmissions, braking systems, and other vehicle components work.
  • Ability to accurately identify mechanical or electrical issues.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices.
  • Current VIC Drivers License.
  • Certificate III in Automotive or Higher.
  • At least 1 year of experience in an automotive workshop as a mechanic/technician.

What We Offer:

  • Salary ranging $74,000 - $80,000 + superannuation.
  • Ability to work full-time or on a structured week.
