Job Title: Drone Operator

Are you interested in a role that combines technical expertise with strategic thinking? As a Drone Operator with the Australian Defence Force, you'll play a critical role in gathering vital information to support military operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) to observe the battlefield and gather intelligence
  • Collect and analyze data to inform tactical decision-making
  • Liaise with air traffic control to ensure safe flying conditions
  • Assist in flight planning and briefings
  • Control UAVs in airspace with other manned and unmanned aircraft
  • Operate individual and crew-served combat weapons
  • Support the defence of ground troops
  • Perform general soldiering duties, including manning defensive positions and patrolling
About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical and problem-solving skills. As a Drone Operator, you'll work as part of a crew to operate the surveillance suite and control the aircraft in flight. You'll be trained to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions to support military operations.
