Located in Newcastle, a bustling and vibrant coastal city with stunning beaches and coastlines, Spinner Medical Recruitment is seeking an experienced Radiologist to join our team as a Consultant Radiologist with a focus on Paediatric imaging.

The ideal candidate will have subspecialty experience in paediatric imaging and excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the advancement of medical training and research at John Hunter Hospital, a world-class tertiary healthcare facility partnering with the University of Newcastle.

Estimated Salary: £120,000 - £150,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. This highly competitive salary reflects the exceptional skill set required for this position.

The hospital is undergoing a significant redevelopment, featuring a new seven-storey acute services building and enhanced facilities, including a state-of-the-art Emergency Department and expanded Intensive Care Unit. As a key member of the radiology department, you will have access to cutting-edge technology and equipment, including high-quality imaging capabilities such as functional MRI, diffusion tensor imaging, and clinical imaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care as a Consultant Radiologist with a focus on Paediatric imaging
  • Collaborate with colleagues from various disciplines to provide comprehensive care
  • Participate in teaching and professional development opportunities, enhancing skills and knowledge
  • Demonstrate commitment to clinical governance and audit, ensuring excellence in patient care

Requirements:

  • FRANZCR or equivalent qualification
  • Subspecialty experience in paediatric imaging
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Evidence of organisational and teaching abilities
  • An understanding of clinical governance and audit principles
