Job Title:

Inventory Control Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of our inventory management system, ensuring that all materials are properly stocked, tracked, and distributed.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels, including receiving, storing, and issuing materials.
  • Develop and implement efficient inventory management practices, including best transportation options, kitting strategies, and work order management practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Shipping, Receiving, Quality Control, Transportation, Planning, and Purchasing to resolve problems related to receipt and distribution of materials.
  • Conduct regular safety walkthroughs, address safety issues, and promote safety policies within the organization.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area by making continuous improvements to workspace design.
  • Serve as a liaison between departments to ensure smooth operations and resolve any discrepancies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in inventory management, supply chain, or production/ manufacturing.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP).
  • Lean/Six Sigma experience (Green/Black Belt certifications).
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Working knowledge of transport guidelines as defined by 49CFR/IATA.
Physical Demands:
  • Lifting up to 25lbs unassisted.
  • Standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying.
Work Environment:

The selected candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent exposure to changing priorities and deadlines.
