Job Summary:

The Building Surveyor will oversee a range of projects and ensure compliance with relevant building control legislation, codes, and standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Carry out duties in support of the Municipal Building Surveyor
  • Provide efficient assistance to the Municipal Building Surveyor and Deputy Municipal Building Surveyor
  • Ensure high-quality work and timely project completion
  • Support the preparation of Council reports or other building control related reports
  • Represent the Council in Building Appeals Board and Court proceedings
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and local authorities
  • Stay up-to-date with building codes, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Implement quality control processes for surveying activities
