Job Description:

The Strategic Portfolio Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's strategic direction by developing and continuously refining our portfolio strategy.

This role requires a blend of strategic vision, analytical expertise, and the ability to collaborate across business units to align the sales and asset portfolios with the overall portfolio goals.

You'll also take the lead in market forecasting, risk management, and performance tracking, helping to position the company as a leader in the energy market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and evaluate the portfolio strategy, ensuring it aligns with both sales and asset portfolios.
  • Formulate the energy risk management policy and associated metrics, ensuring comprehensive assessment and mitigation of risks.
  • Provide quarterly market outlooks and perform forward curve analysis to identify market trends.
  • Supervise the reporting and monitoring of wholesale market performance, risk metrics, customer performance, and financial analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with development, delivery, sales, and customer solutions teams to integrate data-driven insights and strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for portfolio expansion and develop business cases for growth.
  • Develop strategies to align the energy portfolio with market demand and customer preferences.
  • Lead and mentor a team, fostering a high-performance culture and a positive work environment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in economics, finance, energy management, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in energy market analytics, portfolio strategy, and risk management within the energy sector.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful energy portfolio strategies.
  • Expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, and performance tracking.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving market conditions.
