Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Data and Analytics Engineer to join our team at Sg Fleet Australia Pty Ltd. As a Senior Data and Analytics Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end data and analytics solutions that drive business outcomes and customer value.

Responsibilities
  • Work with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements related to data and analytics initiatives.
  • Design, develop, test, document, and maintain data models, reports, and dashboards that meet business needs and requirements.
  • Design, develop, test, document, and maintain data pipelines across various technologies that extract, load, combine, and transform data from internal and external sources.
  • Understand and implement data governance requirements that support data and analytics solutions, including security, data quality, data classification, trustworthiness, and reusability.
Requirements
  • Extensive expertise in data engineering and analysis.
  • Proficiency in T-SQL, SQL Server, Databricks, PySpark, SSRS, Power BI, and other related data tools and platforms.
  • Experience with Lambda and Kappa architecture stacks.
  • Hands-on experience building Data Streaming solutions using technologies like Apache Kafka, Azure Event Hub, Confluent, and Apache Flink.
  • Skill in constructing and optimizing data pipelines, data models, reports, and dashboards.
  • Previous hands-on work with a broad range of Azure services related to Data and Analytics, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Ability to mentor engineers, guide technical decisions, and contribute to the overall strategy.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in software development and object-oriented design (.Net, Python, JavaScript).
  • Experience with DevOps processes and practices (CI/CD, Infrastructure as code).
  • Data science skills and experience, AI/ML, Statistical analysis.
  • Previous experience using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
  • Experience with Data Replication technologies.
