Audit leadership is a high-profile role that demands extensive experience, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of auditing principles.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to lead large-scale assurance engagements from planning to completion.

In addition to their technical expertise, they should be adept at building and maintaining client relationships, as well as supervising and mentoring staff members.

Proficiency in US GAAP, excellent written and presentation skills, and a proven track record of innovative problem-solving are essential qualities for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead engagement teams in planning and executing audits, reviews, or compilations
  • Provide exceptional client service, fostering long-term relationships through continuous communication
  • Serve as primary liaison between the engagement partner, clients, and team members
  • Oversee daily operations, including staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, reporting, and conclusion
  • Offer guidance, support, and mentorship to team members, promoting open communication across all levels
  • Collaborate with senior managers and partners on client issue resolution, making informed recommendations
  • Manage multiple concurrent engagements, ensuring timely completion and meeting client and internal deadlines
  • Maintain engagement budgets, identifying inefficiencies throughout the audit process
  • Assist with billing and collections
  • Develop and maintain staff by participating in recruiting, performance evaluations, training, and career coaching
  • Stay up-to-date on new accounting pronouncements
  • Participate in professional development programs as an instructor
  • Ensure confidentiality of the firm and its clients
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, preferably Master's degree in accounting
  • Current and valid license as a Florida Certified Public Accountant or professional equivalent
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in public accounting
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills, including expertise in US GAAP
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, representing the firm well
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, project management skills, strong attention to detail, and proven innovative problem-solving skills
  • Minimum 40 hours of continuing professional education annually
