About the Role:

The National School of Medicine at The University of Notre Dame Australia is seeking qualified individuals to fill a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer position as Group Tutors in the Foundation Years of the Doctor of Medicine program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Tutoring, Communication and Clinical Skills sessions, Clinical Debriefing sessions, and other learning opportunities for students.
  • Participate in assessment and evaluation activities, including marking and providing feedback.
  • Attend meetings and professional development sessions as required by the Head of Foundation Years and the School.
  • Consult with students regarding readings, weekly topics, and assessment.
  • Provide high-level pastoral care to students.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Lecturer position: Possession of a Medical qualification registrable with AHPRA and a Fellowship of a relevant professional body or a PhD in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience in teaching at master's level or higher, or in medical, health, or professional practice-based education settings.
  • High level of interest in medical education and experience in teaching in small group tutorials.
  • Ability to incorporate technology into teaching and learning.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to work effectively in a team.
