We are seeking a skilled Electrician Drafter to help our clients with their electrical design needs.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering or similar, and at least 3 years of experience. They will possess high level drafting & detailing skills, with proficiency in 2D AutoCAD software and the ability to develop electrical layouts, general arrangements, and schematic drawings.

The successful candidate will assist the electrical design team with the development of designs, collaborate with other design disciplines to ensure integration of the overall design, and set up and manage projects throughout their life cycle. They will also implement quality control processes to ensure that all drawings and documents meet project requirements.

As an Electrician Drafter, you will be responsible for preparing engineering drawing deliverables from sketches, calculations, and/or specifications. You will also analyse client requirements for design drafting criteria to ensure that all appropriate specifications are included in the design requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare engineering drawing deliverables from sketches, calculations, and/or specifications.
  • Assist the electrical design team with the development of designs.
  • Work collaboratively with other design disciplines to ensure integration of the overall design.
  • Set up and manage projects throughout their life cycle.
  • Analyse client requirements for design drafting criteria to ensure that all appropriate specifications are included in the design requirements.
  • Implement quality control process to ensure that all drawings and documents meet project requirements.

About You:

  • Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering or similar.
  • At least 3 years of experience.
  • High level drafting & detailing skills.
  • High level use and understanding of 2D AutoCAD software.
  • Ability to develop electrical layouts, general arrangements, and schematic drawings.
