Food Service Assistant Role

Mosman Council is seeking a part-time permanent opportunity to assist with the efficient operations of Mosman Meals, including packing and distributing individually packaged meals for delivery to clients. The role requires maintaining kitchen hygiene and food safety standards in line with current guidelines and regulations, as well as supporting kitchen volunteers and the Food Services Coordinator with office duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Packing and distribution of meals for delivery to clients.
  • Maintaining kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Supporting kitchen volunteers and the Food Services Coordinator with office duties.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a commitment to quality customer service, and knowledge of safe food handling practices. A National Police Check and standard pre-employment checks are required.

Working Hours: 24 hours per week, scheduled across Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a commitment to quality customer service.
  • Knowledge of safe food handling practices, kitchen hygiene, stock control; experience with volunteers is highly regarded.
