​Program Overview


Workskil Australia Ltd is excited to announce the launch of the Parent Pathways Program, a free pre-employment initiative designed to support parents and guardians of young children in building skills and confidence, and preparing them for the workforce.


Through this program, we aim to address any challenges or concerns within the parent's immediate family, enabling them to focus on the future and identify areas of interest and set career goals. Further support with building skills and gaining qualifications is also provided.




  • Services: Person-centred case management for eligible parents with young children
  • Support: Addressing vocational and non-vocational needs, supporting parents' aspirations through tailored expertise and referring parents to internal and external services for further support
  • Engagement: Engaging with community organisations to develop strong opportunities, providing a calm, respectful, welcoming, and child-friendly service to maintain engagement
  • Approach: Practicing an empathetic approach towards parents and their circumstances to help build trusted relationships and achieve positive outcomes


​Key Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need:




  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to effectively work with a culturally diverse range of parents, employers, education and community service providers, and staff
  • Empathy and Trauma Awareness: Empathy and trauma awareness
  • Labour Market Knowledge: Strong Labour Market knowledge
  • Qualifications: A minimum Certificate III in a relevant field (including Social Work, Community Services, Education, Early Childhood Education and Care, Health or Society and Culture) or Certificate IV in Employment Services or Career Development or demonstrated equivalent experience and willingness to work towards a relevant Certificate III or IV qualification
