Primary Teacher - Year 5/6 Role Overview

The primary teacher - year 5/6 role at our school is focused on delivering a quality education to students, fostering a safe and respectful learning environment, and promoting lifelong wellbeing.

As a primary teacher in this position, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students, designing engaging lesson plans, and assessing student progress. You will also be expected to contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve this goal.

This role requires a qualified and experienced primary teacher who can demonstrate their ability to provide high-quality instruction, manage classroom behavior, and build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and report on student progress, providing feedback to students and parents
  • Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment

Requirements:
  • Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., Bachelor of Education or equivalent)
  • Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration as a teacher in Queensland
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
