Job Title: Technical Officer

At Airservices Australia, we are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Technical Officer to join our team. As a Technical Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient management of our air traffic control and aviation rescue and firefighting systems.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing time-sensitive preventive and corrective maintenance, and project installation activities on critical air traffic control and aviation rescue and firefighting systems. You will also be required to maintain an awareness and understanding of the impact that your work can have on Airservices systems, and to maintain effective working relationships with other Airservices staff to ensure effective coordination of all activities in support of organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing maintenance and installation activities on critical air traffic control and aviation rescue and firefighting systems
  • Maintaining an awareness and understanding of the impact that your work can have on Airservices systems
  • Maintaining effective working relationships with other Airservices staff
  • Timely and accurate data entry into the maintenance management systems
  • Participating in the implementation of enterprise governance systems and policies
  • Promoting workplace health and safety and contributing to a safe working environment
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of service delivery and work practices
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Diploma of Electronics and Communications Engineering, or equivalent, and a strong commitment to working in a team environment with a focus on delivering the highest level of customer service. You will also need to have the ability to develop knowledge and understanding of the policies, procedures, and legislation relevant to the position, and to plan, prioritise, organise, and perform activities with limited guidance over time, for cost-effective outcomes.
