We are seeking a Trainee Plasterer to join our team, where you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in plastering. As an apprentice plasterer, you'll work alongside experienced professionals to master the skills and techniques required to become a qualified plasterer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install plasterboard on walls and ceilings with precision, ensuring accurate measurements and layouts.
  • Fix standard plasterboard sheets securely on walls and ceilings, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Read and interpret plans to execute tasks accurately, identifying potential issues and finding solutions.
  • Achieve seamless finishes on plasterboard joins for a polished look, requiring attention to detail and patience.
  • Cut and install cornices to enhance aesthetic appeal, taking into account design considerations.
  • Plan plasterboard layout, incorporating insulation and vapour barriers, ensuring energy efficiency and durability.
  • Measure, mark, cut, and install plasterboard panels securely, applying mathematical concepts to calculations.
  • Attach pre-cast plaster fittings such as cornices, ceiling centres, and more, demonstrating problem-solving abilities.
  • Cover joins and nail holes with wet plaster and sealing compounds expertly, achieving a high-quality finish.
Requirements:
  • A passion for learning the ins and outs of plastering, with a willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities, enabling effective task execution.
  • Physical stamina for lifting, positioning, and hands-on work, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • A team player with collaboration skills, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
  • Willingsness to learn from mentors and adapt to different tasks, embracing continuous improvement.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations, applied to real-world scenarios.
  • Safety awareness and solid communication skills, facilitating effective teamwork and issue resolution.
  • A Construction White Card or ability to obtain at short notice, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • An Australian Driver's License (Provisional) and own reliable transport, facilitating site access and mobility.
