Domestic Violence Support Worker

Our organisation is seeking a skilled professional to deliver critical safety, advocacy, and support for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities impacted by domestic and family violence.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive risk assessments and safety planning to promote ongoing safety of women and children. They will also offer crisis intervention, case management services, and advocacy to women experiencing domestic and family violence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering trauma-informed support to victims of domestic and family violence
  • Providing access to essential support services, including crisis intervention and ongoing case management

The ideal candidate will have experience in crisis support, risk assessment, and safety planning, as well as knowledge of domestic and family violence theories and practices. They will also require an understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.

Requirements
  • Qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or related field preferred
  • Current Driver's Licence, Blue Card, and National Police Check required
