Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in horticulture is essential for this position.
  • Relevant qualifications in horticulture or equivalent are desirable but not mandatory if you have significant experience.
  • Experience in operating and maintaining commercial landscape maintenance equipment is crucial for this role.
  • Strong leadership skills to foster teamwork and motivate staff members are necessary.
  • Effective time management and communication skills are vital for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Chemcert certification is desirable, but obtaining it is expected.
  • Adherence to WH&S policies is mandatory for creating a safe working environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a full-time team in the Sutherland Shire.
  • Organize tasks on-site and ensure efficient task completion.
  • Oversee team performance to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Regularly liaise with the Management Team to deliver exceptional client service.
  • Ensure all works are completed safely.
  • Maintain effective teamwork to meet targets.
  • Manage various landscapes, including parks and open spaces.
  • Identify plant deficiencies and/or pests and diseases and develop treatment plans.
  • Complete associated documentation regularly.
